Flu and other viruses

As you may be aware, it’s flu season and there are other nasty bugs doing the rounds. This is the advice we received from the College, to ensure we don’t get a repeat of the great flu-fest (or was it GI-bug fest?) from a few years ago:

If you think you have the flu (sudden onset of body aches, a fever of 100°F or greater, cough and/or a sore throat) or stomach virus (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea):  stay home!  Faculty and staff should not come to campus and students should not attend classes or be in public areas (including the student union and library) until fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medicine (such as Tylenol or ibuprofen).  Students should email their professors about absences.

Please be considerate of your classmates and don’t fight through it if you get hit, but take the time to recover. We can work out how to catch you up on the lost coursework.
